Description
This missionary staff position is an exciting opportunity to live and work in Gulu, Uganda and love on the children in our Rescue Home who are rescued from lives of sexual exploitation. We currently have 17 girls ranging in ages from 5-14.
Your job would be to manage the Rescue Home, including supporting and training staff, mothering our children, developing materials/teachings which contribute to the emotional, spiritual, and educational development of our kids, and ensuring that there is an environment of love and the Kingdom in all that we do. Will report to Country Director.

- To run and manage our home concerning day to day decisions, finances, food usage, accountability, tracking & reporting, and monitoring of other staff/volunteers. To support local staff as a spiritual mentor and train them up to be Kingdom carriers
- To love all our children and impart the Father's heart to them & to care for their overall wellbeing
- To create systems for behavioral improvement, discipline, rewards and implement with staff
- To create a fun, educational, peaceful learning environment for children
- To manage home programs including scheduling, planning, devotions, worship, tutoring, purity talks, unity, staff meetings, etc
- To prepare age-appropriate teaching materials, games, and activities for children and to train staff how to do the same
- To aid in our home licensing process
- To weekly track and report on behaviors, emotional stability, spiritual growth, medical, and school performance of all children & prepare reports on children's progress and update profiles and pictures
- To handle finances with accountability in order to purchase needed items for the home and keep a ledger of finances spent as well as receipts
Requirements
- College Graduate
- Mature, Christian faith; led by Holy Spirit
- Experience living in the Developing world/missions
- Well-versed and have experience in inner healing, counseling, theophostic prayer/and or other methods of Christian counseling
- Understanding of Kingdom principles and Father heart of God. Understanding of Love & Logic parenting
- Experience in parenting/leading children; love and passion for children
- 1-2 years experience in Managing people/teams
- Flexible, Adaptable, Resilient: able to persevere with joy in the face of challenges
- Self-motivated- can organize and complete tasks with little direction
- Computer literate
