Our Solution
“After working in Haiti, in some crazy harsh conditions for 6 years, I am so thankful I was able to talk with Sarita. It is very unique to find someone who has a deep faith in God, a wisdom about doing life on the field, and an honesty about what life is actually like in the field- because she has walked through it herself. Through Sarita, the Lord has been restoring me and reminding me of the importance of self-care and self transformation. Our work has been correcting and healing wrong beliefs that I had about God, myself, and my work. While at one point I contemplated leaving the field altogether, I now feel restored. It has made such a difference!” -Stephanie, missionary in Haiti-
We believe missionaries and global aid workers should be happy. Retreats and debriefing are wonderful, but when missionaries were asked what they most needed on the field, their number one response was ongoing one-on-one mentoring and counseling. They wanted someone focused on helping heal their souls on a regular basis instead of letting grief pile up. They wanted someone who understood their unique challenges and could focus on them and not just the “mission.”
With high touch points, we provide missionaries/global workers with the healing soul care and ongoing coaching they need in order to thrive on the field, prevent burnout, and fulfill their callings. We establish a relational connection of trust that allows a missionary to be authentic with their pain and struggles with someone who gets them and has been there. Our goal is to keep people healthy and healed up, equipped to continue to serve.
Our confidential sessions give cross cultural workers a safe space to process, debrief, and heal from some of the devastating circumstances and suffering they encounter in their daily lives because of the challenging environment in which they live.
Because this is ongoing care, they can process life as it happens instead of having to wait to come off the field to do so, thereby maintaining a healthier perspective and increasing resiliency.
We also assist missionaries through the difficult transition of re-entry, setting them up for success upon their return “home.”
Healthier missionaries means healthier leaders, ministries, organizations, and nations. It means missionaries have more to give their communities and in turn, effect more positive change.
We don’t believe the measure of a success in ministry is the length of time a missionary serves, but how well they serve and the kind of legacy of love they leave behind. People who are heart sore and weary, burnout and cynical, cannot impact nations in a positive, life giving way. We can help!
